Before you meet
- Meet in public. Choose a busy, public place for early meetings.
- Tell someone where you're going. Share your plans and the other person's profile with a friend or family member.
- Arrange your own transportation. Drive yourself or use your own rideshare rather than relying on the other person.
- Protect your home and work address. Don't share these until you've built real trust.
- Video or voice verify when appropriate. A quick call before meeting can help confirm you're talking to a real person.
- Keep early conversations in the app. This gives you a record and access to our reporting tools if something feels off.
Watch for scams
- Never send money to someone you've met on FaithfulMatch, no matter the story.
- Be cautious of requests involving investments, cryptocurrency, or urgent "emergency" payments — these are common scam patterns.
- Be wary of anyone who avoids video calls, refuses to meet in person, or pressures you to move communication off the app quickly.
Location privacy
FaithfulMatch only ever shows other members an approximate distance (for example, "5 miles away"). Your precise location is never shown to other users.
Photo and identity verification limitations
FaithfulMatch uses automated tools to help screen profile photos, but we cannot guarantee that every profile or photo is genuine or that every member's stated identity is accurate. Use the same caution you would with anyone you meet online.
Report suspicious behavior
If someone makes you uncomfortable, asks for money, or violates our Community Guidelines, report or block them directly from their profile or your conversation with them.
In an emergency
If you are ever in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. FaithfulMatch is not a substitute for emergency services and cannot respond to real-time safety emergencies.
